Gestern hat unser Freundeskreis die Gelegenheit, hinter die Kulissen zu schauen - bei der Vorbereitung unseres 2. Abokonzerts mit der Komponistin und Santurspielerin @farnaz_modarresifar . Farnaz hat ihr Instrument vorgestellt, und danach konnten wir gemeinsam PlĂ€tzchen, GlĂŒhwein und Tee genieĂen đđ·đ«
Unser Freundeskreis đ§Ą begleitet unsere Arbeit und ermöglicht durch ihre UnterstĂŒtzung in Form von Rat, Tat und Geld auĂergewöhnliche Projekte, KompositionsauftrĂ€ge, CD-Produktionen oder Education-Konzerte.
Mitglieder unseres Freundeskreises bekommen durch besondere Veranstaltungen wie Probenbesuche und behind-the-scenes-tours einen besonderen Einblick in unsere Arbeit. Sie bekommen einen persönlichen Kontakt zu unseren Musiker*innen und erleben auch die Arbeit bedeutender Komponist*innen von heute mit.

Rehearsal for Freiburg propaganda project with @ensemblerecherche upcoming this Friday! Yet your skin⊠is a collaboration performance with composer @yuheng_chenn , artist @maya__erin@nao____usami ! This performance is an enactment of urgency, addressing planetary crisis and the post-Anthropocene condition. The performance begins with whispers of various animals and the fragmented murmurs of organic matter, created through human gestures. These quiet voices are glitched, expanded, amplified, and eventually broken through digital intervention, gradually forming an undulating sonic mass.

This piece creates a fabricated sense of urgency in the post-Anthropocene, where organic planetary matter intertwines with simulated post-human forms.
Rather than concealing reality, these manipulations serve as a probe into what kinds of residues or radiations of todayâs political and cultural aestheticsâreshaped or distorted, traces that may themselves be continually warped by human interventionâ might persist after the disappearance of the human.
The title is inspired by Kobo Abe. Yet Our Skin Is Merely the Reshaped Ocean suggests: Though the future is a product of every present that precedes it, tomorrow does not belong to today.

âFischer & el Saniâs latest video work The Big Regret (2026) proclaims the end of social media and calls for a return to, and reactivation of, supernatural abilities such as telepathy through âBrain Balancingâ â a form of telecommunication without technical devices, which Fischer & el Sani had already developed in their 1995 video work Be Supernatural as an ironic response to the technology hype of the early 1990s.

KĂŒnstliche Intelligenz und synthetische Medien erzeugen tĂ€uschend echte Imitationen realer Personen â mit enormem Manipulationspotenzial. Deepfakes sĂ€en Zweifel, unterwandern RealitĂ€t und gefĂ€hrden demokratische Ăffentlichkeit. Mit dem Projekt Propaganda reagiert das Ensemble Recherche kĂŒnstlerisch auf diese PhĂ€nomene.
