We're back! Having been hard at work over the past few months, we are excited to finally announce that our new album, 'LA FOLIA' is set to be released on 25th June.
In a year where the themes of 'madness' and 'chaos' couldn't be more fitting, join us as we explore the many different interpretations of these ideas that appeared throughout the Baroque period. 🎻
The members of ELN are now available to book for online lessons and masterclasses!

To round off our our series of posts, please meet the wonderful Róza Bene, our second continuo player... Hello, I am Róza Bene, a continuo player of Ensemble La Notte. As a harpsichordist I enjoy playing different early keyboards and coming across original instruments, whereupon I like to perform some of the music which has been created particularly for them.
I am intrigued by the late renaissance repertoire, such as English virginalists, Italian keyboard music and chamber-music from the early baroque era.
One of our concerts with La Notte Trio is an absolutely uplifting memory of mine, where we played Italian music by Selma, Bertoli and Stradella with recorder and bassoon.
In my silent time I go towards literature, often reading contemporary works, writing short stories and learning european languages.

Hello, I’m Arturo Chacon and I play baroque double bass in Ensemble La Notte. I’m currently a master's degree student at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in historical double bass
I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela and have been living in the UK for 5 years. Apart from playing the double bass I enjoy teaching young musicians and am a true believer in the transforming power of music.
Playing with Ensemble La Notte has been a real pleasure for me, putting so many good musicians with such chemistry together is really wonderful and it is a privilege to work with them.
