What a magical time we had in Bruges at GOLD festival!! It was amazing to perform in front of the mausoleum of Mary of Burgundy🫢 In this new program we were exploring Marian- themed repertoire, the life of Mary of Burgundy and on the other hand Mother Mary, giving birth and then loosing her son. Gregorian (Bridgettine) chant, birth spells, runo-songs, traditional Marian-themed tunes and of course a lot of improvisation!
Wow, full house and standing ovation. Feels just overwhelming! I feel that there is something quite universal in this repertoire that just seems to resonate so well in today’s chaotic world..🙏🏼❤️🌸
