Aimo was something we worked on a few years ago, when AI was taking its first public steps – and there was a scramble to harness the tech as a lever across sectors. We explored the name and brand identity (other Aimo’s have since transpired), which was later wrapped into another product, as these things often are.
We recently opened up some of the old files while exploring sonic identities for something else (sound up on the first tile). We still quite like the marque, but admittedly other elements feel undercooked as is the nature of early round work.
If anything, it’s interesting to see how things have moved on so dramatically in a few years…

One Week, Five Projects
We recently took a week out from client work at ENSEMBLE and focussed purely on self initiated projects in areas that we see opportunities for new products or processes.
This week was about creative freedom, challenging ourselves and each other, and taking the time to wander down untrodden avenues, both conceptually and functionally. Exploring the role that various technologies can play in augmenting existing skills and knowledge, to open the door to bigger and better solutions.
We came together to establish, explore and imagine 5 different creative projects, from initial concept, right through MVP. These were:
🎤🎟️ Grass Roots Music — A platform to bring people back to grass roots music venues
🎛️🎶 Sonic Generation — Translating visual creative into sonic identities
🎨🧰 MVB Toolkits — Ready-to-launch, bespoke brand identities
🎧📺 Creative Discovery — Bringing back the freedom of creative discovery
🏗️🌲 A Sense of Place — A delivery first framework for public realm activation of all scales
It’s very early days for all of these, but there are many elements from the week that we’re bringing into our day-today work moving forward, as well as an excitement to further develop some of the great ideas that came to life.
