My hair backstory:
In early 2023, I did a double perm after my hair didn’t take the first time — and ended up with frizzy, uneven waves that were so hard to manage.
Here’s what I did to grow it long and healthy:
1. Consistent salon treatments
When my hair was damaged, I went every 6 weeks.
I personally love the 3–5 step treatments at @ampersand.salon.sg because the results actually last, unlike others I’ve tried where my hair turned dry again after 2 weeks.
2. Proper home care
→ Leave-in conditioner on damp hair
→ Hair oil before blow-drying
→ Scalp exfoliation weekly/bi-weekly
→ Minoxidil (controversial, but it worked for me)
→ And yes… I comb my hair from my scalp 100 times before bed 😂
3. Sticking to one stylist
I stayed loyal to @ampersand.eling 😇
Having one stylist who understands your hair makes such a difference, even my colour is a custom mix, and it’s always exactly what I want
4. Stopped perming + reduced heat
I do sock curls every night instead, I wake up with curls and my hair is way less frizzy (no more pillow friction 🥲)

Went for KOOZA Cirque du Soleil for the first time, and I didn’t expect to fall in love with it this much. This edition leans more into classic circus acts and clowning, which made the whole experience feel so lively and fun. The atmosphere was incredibly electrifying, and overall it was such an enjoyable and memorable show 🤍
