Last week I had the opportunity to visit Capitol Hill alongside fellow AI startup leaders to meet with policymakers and discuss the future of AI workforce development. This is a topic near and dear to what we do at Enployable AI @enployable .
Here are a few highlights:
🤝 A productive lunch with @openai , where we discussed opportunities for industry collaboration.
🏛️ A meeting with @repdonbeyer Rep. Don Beyer’s office (my home district!) - they’re eager to explore ways to support federal workers in transitioning their transferable skills as AI transforms the workplace.
🇺🇸 Valuable discussion @senschumer Sen. Schumer’s office about the critical importance of public-private sector collaboration in shaping AI policy.
📚 An engaging session with the U.S. House of Representatives Education and Workforce Committee, focused on AI workforce upskilling initiatives and how we can better prepare talent for the AI economy.
The conversation around AI talent development has never been more urgent. Startups need access to skilled workers, and our workforce needs support in adapting to AI-driven changes. Grateful to @engineorg for facilitating these important conversations between innovators and policymakers. I’m also thankful to have joined such an incredible group of founders who brought diverse perspective and innovative solutions to the table.
