Last week, we visited Lister Hospital to spread Easter cheer to the staff & patients of the Bluebell Children’s Ward. ❤️
The hard-working staff at Lister Hospital were also yet again provided with hot meals courtesy of club partner, W J Rowe.
The Club would like to thank the @sfcsa_1994 for all their help, particularly Jackie Berners and Lister Hospital’s Claire Hickey who helped organise the event.

We were delighted to welcome a group of Sky engineers who spent their corporate volunteering days with us at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, supporting our nature recovery ranger, Susannah.
Together, they rolled up their sleeves to clear overgrown areas, remove old debris, and prepare the ground for a new community allotment garden, a space we hope will bring joy and connection to patients, families, and staff.
For many of the engineers, who usually work alone, it was also a chance to catch up, socialise, and enjoy working side‑by‑side on something that makes a real difference.
“It was great spending the day together helping out a cause that really matters. It was such a rewarding experience, amazing to see everyone come together to support people going through a tough time. The team and I are really proud of what we achieved!”
We’re so grateful for their energy, teamwork, and hard work in helping us care for the green spaces that mean so much to those receiving treatment and to our staff.

We're really pleased to congratulate Chirag Lakhani, Superintendent radiotherapy radiographer and the head and neck cancer multidisciplinary team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre for being awarded the British Institute of Radiology/Bayer 'Make it better' service award.
The team at Mount Vernon Cancer centre has been recognised for their innovative work based on implementing a 17-day pathway for patients being treated for head and neck cancer with radical radiotherapy, when radiotherapy is used to try to cure the cancer as opposed to treating symptoms. This is a key metric linked to improved patient outcomes.
Congratulations Chirag and the cancer centre team - thank you for all your hard work, making a difference to patients being treated for cancer and reducing delays.
We're so excited to share with you that the trust has been named Gold Winner for Best Community Impact and Highly Commended in Volunteering Excellence at the 2025 Impact Awards.
This recognition highlights the incredible dedication of our staff and volunteers, who go above and beyond to support patients, families, and our community. 💗
Thank you to everyone who makes a difference every day, together, we’re showing what accountability, compassion, and positive impact look like in action.
