On my last day of my US business trip, I went to Lake Rainier, a major spotted bass lake, with Tamaranbai Nagano and Bassmaster Elite pro Paul Marks 🇺🇸 The fishing style was a mix of shooting and topwater, and the bass are imagined to be three times harder to catch than smallmouth bass! But because they are selective, Japanese techniques worked, and I was able to catch some nice spotted bass with a LikeThreeNineES jig head ✨ Since Lake Rainier is Paul Marks' home field, I learned a lot of local techniques, making it a very educational day to end the trip 👍 And the Like series, Japanese techniques are definitely effective in America too 👏 It was truly a very educational two weeks 🇺🇸 I'm very sad to leave America... During my business trip to the U.S.—the main highlight of which was a writers' conference—I had the privilege of hopping aboard with three pros from the Bassmaster Elite Series: Bryan New, Chris Johnston, and Drew Benton! After having each of the anglers use ENGINE products to land some catches, they even let me squeeze in a little fishing myself. 👍 On Bryan New’s boat, I scored a catch using a LikeThreeNineES on a drop shot rig! On Chris Johnston’s boat, I caught one using a LikeFiveES with a mid-strolling technique! On Drew Benton’s boat, I spent most of the time giving pointers; but right at the end, when he told me, "Hey, give this a cast!"—*BAM!*—I nailed a big one on a Choppo!
