WRD - Rok Cup Rd.2 Thailand Rd.2 Race Report: Excellent weekend terms of progress for @dylan_low_29 and @mikehendersonracing as they took their first steps overseas and were baptised in the cold waters of very wet Bira Circuit! Dylan: He turned heads and wowed onlookers with his speed from the moment he exited the pitlane, running competitive times from the get go! During the heats, he ran as high as P2, having had a blistering start and with some solid racecraft, taking advantage of some wheel banging from the leaders and sneaking through! If not for a minor mistake, we believe he would have kept it to the flag, instead finishing P4. The heavens opened up before the pre-final, and with the visibility being 0, chaos was inevitable on the opening lap. Dylan having to avoid spinners, was shuffled down the pack. He recovered well however, adapting to the conditions and matching coach Ian’s pace in the closing laps! The final however was challenging on the drying track but Dylan still finished a respectable P7, a promising first outing. Michael: Mike improved every single lap from the moment he arrived to his first overseas meeting; despite being easily the least experienced driver on the grid! Improving more than 5 seconds by the time of the race, Michael battled hard, reducing the lap time deficit to @ian.whillock.racing to less than .6 of a second during the final! Mike kept his nose clean and finished the final in P2 🥈 in class, bringing home his first overseas trophy. 🏆 Mike showed some excellent race-craft and instincts which will be honed over the coming months. Rok Cup Thailand Rd.2 2026 Report: Tough weekend but one which ultimately ended with some silverware. Felt all weekend that we had the pace to challenge the seniors despite being 7 kg heavier, with my warm-up timing if normalised would have put me in contention for Pole Position overall. But the dnf in the heat put me at the back of the grid and the heavens opened up during the pre-final. That was one of the most fun races I have ever had, the excellent @gillardkartofficial chassis and set-up from @simonracing helped me climb all the way up to 5th place, matching the pace of the eventual winner. However, my progress stalled despite a significant pace advantage, which is something I have to work on for the next time. Small issues hampered my pace in the final, with the track drying faster than expected set-up wise and the wrong visor not allowing me to see the damp patches; meant I dropped off the pace of the senior pack quicker than I would have liked. So I kept it steady to the chequered flag to bring home the class victory 🏆 again. I would like to thank @simonracing for the excellent support all weekend. Rok Cup Singapore Rd.2 2026 - Junior Class Excellent results by both of our drivers, @zt27.racing and Aryam. Aryam improved greatly and cane agonizingly close to setting the fastest lap in the final! But an incident in the early going prevented anything more than a 5th place finish. I strongly believe that 3rd or even 2nd place was on the cards, had that not occured. We’ll keep working and make that a reality next time. Zareth, taking part in his first ever owner kart race, fought through massive adversity and was able to achieve his first ever owner top 3 finish 🥉! Not bad but much more to come!!! Rok Cup Singapore Rd.2 2026 - Senior Class I always call senior class “the crucible” which all up and coming racing drivers must experience, because in order to survive it, they must learn and master all the skills a successful racing driver must have, all the while battling tooth and nail against the best karters in Singapore! And this rounds Rok Cup was one of the most dramatic I have seen in a long time! WRD had 4 drivers taking part and all 4 did themselves proud: @dylan_low_29 achieved his personal best of P2 🥈 at the final; keeping his nose clean and avoiding the drama occurring around him, displaying greatly improved race craft and adaptability. Hopefully that first win is just around the corner. @armaan.sa123 - participating in his first senior class race, improved greatly, shaving 0.7 seconds in relativity to the leaders during the weekend. During the race, he was running as high as 10th one point, which is super impressive for his first time in this brutal arena. We’ll working and hopefully get a top 10 finish in the next round. @gwanhuikim - overcame some difficulty in the early stages to climb as high as 2nd in the final. Some banging wheels and a front fairing penalty however dropped him to P10 at the finish, which was a pity as he deserved much more. We will work hard and try to keep that podium position next time. Antonio - in his second Rok Cup race, Antonio showed much improved qualifying and race pace, keeping his nose clean, overtaking a few drivers and getting P8 at the final. P4 for @george.bailey.racing and P5 for Hunter at the final. Xavier got his personal best against a very tough field. Rok Cup Singapore (@rokcupsingapore 2026 Rd.2 - Rookie Class Race Report Jokingly called “WRD Class”, 6 of the 9 drivers taking part were apart of the WRD driver development program! For most of them, this is their very first kart race, having only started competitive karting within the last few months! And the future of Singapore is looking bright with participants up from 4 in round 1 to 9 drivers! WRD drivers took 4 of the top 5 spots with @ww.racing_7 taking his very first owner kart win 🏆 and @lusso.p.tay 🥉 third. @mikehendersonracing achieved 4th ( and the fastest lap) and @fo3_racing rounding out the podium. @aurekarting and @rchrdmrkwllr had incidents which hampered their races early, but both showed very promising speed over the course of the weekend. They will be getting silverware soon! I want to thank all the drivers and WRD coaches (@rafvaessen and @sharvesh_senthil_288 ) for their hard work and support with the rookie class. Thank you to @arinaracing , @element_motorsports , @eugeneracing and @kartrightman88 for preparing the karts.
