Had a great time playing a program of Jewish-themed piano trio music at the Mizpah Congregation in Chattanooga with Esther Sanders and David Rodgers. Here’s a clip from the 3rd movement of Paul Schoenfield’s “Cafe Music.” @estherviolin@dr4j

Thanks @ellieholcomb for writing these songs to encourage us to seek God like the psalmists do for “the unfolding of your words gives light.” (Ps 119:130)
Thanks for asking me to play on a few of them, @jacthompsonmusic and @banistuci !
David will not be dropping our son, but rather a song about him on February 7th. “Arthur” is really good and I’m not just saying that because I love the composer and subject. @dr4j
Here’s what I’ve been up to in the last month or so!
1. CMA Awards with @danandshay (thanks @kristin_wilkinson !)
2. Chattanooga chamber music concert with these all-stars
3. Playing with the @thekatinas (thanks @trecorleymusic !)
4. All glammed up for a CMT special with @codyjohnson
5. Power trio for a Lifeway live-stream event. Big fan of these two!
6. Evening fam jams.
7. Picking up books.
Grandmothers appreciation post:
If anyone has seen me in the last three months and thought “Emily is fairly functional for having just had a baby,” these women are the reason why. They individually have come to stay with us for a total of 10 weeks already and in that time they have:
-Babysat 100s of hours
-Made us over 100 meals
-Changed 100s of diapers
-Done many loads of laundry
-Cleaned inside
-Cleaned outside
-Cared for Arthur so I could sleep!
And so much more.
Motherhood has been manageable because my moms are still taking care of me.
Thank you, Heather and Amy!
