Wind-up automaton MOC
Tried my hand at an unfamiliar building style, scrounged from what little system parts I have. Began with a build I made at a local lego event (last pic), likely inspired by some of the work by @zakar.ion (immensely talented builder - check him out if you haven’t already).

Bio:
While the ocean is familiar to most, it has remained a frontier for mysteries to be explored. In this hostile world, big eats small and there is always a bigger fish. After a shipping container was lost at sea and sank it was claimed by the ocean, becoming host to an isolated ecosystem. Over time the wildlife devoured itself, with one Crab coming to grow to previously unimaginable size. As time passed, the massive creature claimed the container as its house. Adapting to use the protective metal shell, the unique circumstances facilitated an unimaginable growth of the Container Hermit Crab. After centuries, it has now outgrown it’s home and roams the ocean floor restlessly in pursuit of a new shell. Yet, with the time spend caring for the container it is seemingly conflicted at the idea of abandoning it’s house. Have creatures become capable of such sentimental emotion in this modern era?
Yapping:
While similar to my Canister Hermit Crab there have made so many reworks, reminds me of the Ship of Thesus. The similarities end at the concept and shared pincer design. This includes a full body and head redesign, a set of feeding claws, a third pair of legs, a full redesign of the «tail» mechanism, and of course the container!
I anticipated not having time to submit anything for this contest, and therefore hatched a backup plan as I wanted to show interest and contribute. As a bionicle MOCist exclusively, accruing the system pieces for the container was a massive headache. Glad I pulled through as the end product turned out much better than expected!

My take on Takua as a Toa, refusing the change into Takanuva and seizing control of his own destiny. In this version he retains his association with the Ta-tribe. This might be a controversial take on such a beloved character, but I hope you can appreciate it. Also, who could forsake this cute looking Pewku, inspired by @bionicleforge ‘s Jaller Mahri MOC (highly recommend checking it out).

«Toa» Hafu (and Taipu) MOC

Another Hafu original! Hafu, with the help of Taipu, has arisen to the status of «Toa». I enjoy ending with a comedic build, and the original plan was to only revamp the officially released Matoran - but plans change! I expect the «joke» to get lost in the «bad build» impression at the hands of the Ig algorithm. Oh well, still one of my favorite builds!

Toa Onepu MOC

The making of this shotgun was the introduction to resuming this series. Originally given to Kongu, but since I’m not a huge fan of firearms in Bionicle builds, I had to justify it somehow. Thankfully, Onepu’s fellow onu-matoran is an inventor, so I was able to convince myself. Like turqoise, purple is a fan favorite color - just wish we got more.

Another revamp of the last of the three I made in the first iteration (last pic). Apart from a new torso and some tweaks she is pretty similiar. The big conch horn is one of my most intricate builds, and I’ll probs do a showcase of it at a later point with some of the others. Toa Matoro MOC
Most Matoro MOCs include his iconic tiny red flags, and this is no exception. But also cranking it up with a BIG banner on his weapon! I imagined him as the leader of the team on account of his courage. The weapon draws inspiration from the poleblade wielded by Commander Niall and O’Neil.
