Out now! Adam Novak’s new magnum opus.
HOLLYWOOD is a horror movie, and Adam Novak knows where the bodies are buried.
Writing from his years of experience as a longtime development executive, Adam Novak’s CITY OF WHEELS is a hilarious, nightmarish descent into Los Angeles psychosis. Part industry satire, part slasher fever dream, the novel follows a weather girl haunted by horrific visions, stalkers, serial killers, AI Robots, and the starry eyed dream of making it in the industry.
Imagine Robert Altman, Bret Easton Ellis, David Lynch, and Dario Argento trapped in a violent, fiery car accident on Mulholland Drive.
The audiobook is now available exclusively through the Encyclopocalypse Web store.
We’re two months out from the release of Beasts of 42nd Street: Restored and Remastered, and it continues to find its audience. Go back to the bad old days of NYC at the height of its decadence and depravity for a horror neo-noir that’s also very timely. Dropping July 14th from Encyclopocalypse!
I’ve dealt with 3 different stalkers over the course of my crazy life, but none of them wanted to carve me open, scrape my bones, and get high off my bone dust. That’s the batshit insanity Dory has to contend with in Chisel the Bone. Add in an unidentifiable creature from the sky with a wingspan as wide as a jet, and you’ve got one hell of a maniacal roller coaster ride.
Are you ready to strap in and take a spin?

“Chisel the Bone is beautifully vicious, both in story and writing. The words dig deep, and DeCamillis’ prose is electric. For those expecting ‘quiet horror,’ look elsewhere. This is ‘loud horror,’ if that term actually exists. This is metal in style: beats pumping, staccato rhythms with smooth breakdowns, and lyrics that bounce off the page. Recommended.” ~ Cemetery Dance, David Simms

I’m wise enough now to know that song rights are an easy way to quickly inflate a movie budget. I also know the odds of an Our Lady adaptation are slim already for cost reasons (turns out even 80s period movies cost money). If I could though these would be the two pop songs I’d semi-perish on the hill of having in the movie, just because they both capture the vibe of things and of Ginny’s psyche in particular. Patti for the opening, Nick for THAT encounter. Who knows? Lotsa wild stuff has happened already this year…
Oh, and if a book with the vibes of Patti Smith and Nick Cave appeals to you, Our Lady of the Inferno is available from Amazon or direct through Encyclopocalypse
Scars, physical & psychological, play a central role in my book series, including Chisel the Bone.

In honor of Jewish American Heritage month, I’m making regular promotions of my Jewish horror-noir Beasts of 42nd Street, releasing July 14th on the anniversary of the 1977 NYC blackout. This is my unapologetically Jewish primal scream against the last two years, exploring toxic internet culture, online antisemitism, Gamer Gate, and horror fandom through the lens of 1960s-70s Times Square. Imagine the Maltese Falcon if it were Travis Bickle instead of Sam Spade and he was looking for the box from Hellraiser. Preorder it now on the ‘Zon, direct from Encyclopocalypse, or wherever books are sold!
The City of Wheels audiobook is coming soon.
The book, narrated by yours truly, is a hilarious, terrifying, giallo inspired descent into the madness of the entertainment industry’s development process.
Adam Novak takes the term “kill your darlings” to the next level.

The Bone Cutters audiobook needs some love. My editor ditched my publisher & all their authors w/o a word, & TBC audiobook went live last year without my knowledge, losing many months of promos. Show me some love and order your copy today. Links in bio.
* “Razor sharp...grabs hold from the get go, and drags the reader through a surreal experience that evokes One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, if written by Clive Barker. A recommended novella.” ~ Monster Librarian
* “Terrifyingly Original & Unputdownable! DeCamillis delivers a dark, gripping tale that pulls you in from the first page and doesn’t let go. The pacing is relentless, the twists kept me guessing, and the sheer uniqueness of the story left me in awe. I can’t wait to see where DeCamillis takes this chilling world next. If you’re looking for horror that stands out from the rest, The Bone Cutters is a must-read!”
~ Daniell LaCarak, Author of The Garden of Wives
* “This story grabbed me by my throat and squeezed harder and harder with each chapter… Relentless, aggressive. . .I love this story, everything about it is perfect. Everything. Pure insanity. 5/5 Duster Skulls.” –Five-star Amazon & Goodreads Review by Brad Tierney

I’m excited about this one.
The audiobook version of SCREAMING AND CONJURING by the inimitable @clarkcollis just dropped.
The book, narrated by @tomvoiceover , details the films and frights that led to the horror renaissance, from the release of the groundbreaking Scream in 1996 to the arrival of 2013’s The Conjuring, which spawned a multi-billion dollar franchise. Written by entertainment journalist Clark Collis, and published by @1984prods , this exhaustively researched book is the first in-depth examination of a remarkably fertile and influential time for big screen horror.
A must for any horror junkie.
