Enchanted Makeovers transforms shelters nationwide—bringing thoughtful design to spaces where healing begins.
This once-abandoned 100-year-old home has been restored entirely through volunteers and donations. Every room reflects that collective effort, layered with handmade details, repurposed pieces, and a deep sense of purpose.

At 2:00 am in the quiet hush of the morning, when most of the world was still dreaming, two sisters set out beneath a velvet Michigan sky headed toward New Buffalo with hearts full of gratitude and purpose.
From the very beginning, the road felt enchanted. Signs appeared along the way like little whispers from Heaven reminding them they were exactly where they were meant to be. Because they didn’t believe in coincidences they believed in divine appointments.
As the early morning chill settled in, they stopped for breakfast at a glowing Hardee’s where a woman with the kindest smile welcomed every guest with so much light and warmth.
Her name was Trish. (Also an Artist:) and shared her paintings.

Because the sisters were already on their way to pick up seventeen hand-painted canvases created lovingly by Trish Smith.💖
By sunrise, the vehicle was filled with paintings and their hearts were filled with awe. Seventeen cottages. Seventeen stories. Seventeen reminders that beauty still blooms through kindness and connection.
Now, only one week remains before the “She Is Your Neighbor” event on May 16, 2026 at the The Grecian Center. What began as a vision & a fundraiser has become so much more. Neighbors from across Michigan and beyond stepping forward with love, generosity, and hope.
And just when it felt like the morning could not hold any more meaning, there they were again the polkadots and the dimes. Little signs that have followed Terry faithfully for the past 18 years, showing up in the most unexpected places like gentle reminders from Heaven that you are seen, guided, and never alone.
To God be all the Glory for every open door, every helping hand, every mile traveled, every painted cottage, and every soul connected along the way.

Eighteen years ago, at the very beginning of Enchanted Makeovers mission, we met an incredible woman named Joy Holloway. What started with Joy giving us a tour of a shelter became a relationship that would forever shape our hearts and deepen our purpose.
Joy’s story is a reminder that she is your neighbor someone whose life was deeply impacted by compassion, dignity, and support, and whose journey reflects the profound difference community can make for women and children in shelters.
We are beyond honored and excited to have Joy share her testimony and story. Her voice is one of strength, transformation, and healing, and her journey continues to inspire everyone connected to this mission.
