Besuch bei Ben Post (*1988 in Menden) in seinem Kölner Atelier. Ben studierte zunächst Kunst und Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Wuppertal und anschliessend Kunst und Handwerk in Witten.
Bens abstrakte Arbeiten lassen sich am besten als prozesshaft-experimentell beschreiben. Er arbeitet oft gestisch und körperlich, teils mit ungewöhnlichen Werkzeugen wie Besen statt Pinseln. Seine Bilder entstehen in einem offenen, nicht vollständig kontrollierten Prozess.
Ben zeigt seine Werke regelmäßig in Kölner Off-Spaces wie der Mingbud Gallery, der Galerie Neueröffnung oder der Kunsthalle Lindenthal. Solo- und Gruppenausstellungen führten ihn nach Leipzig, Hamburg, Düsseldorf und Wuppertal.
Zuletzt waren Bens Arbeiten in einer Einzelausstellung in Köln im „Aachener Eins Eins 4“ zu sehen.

Ben about his work:
In my work, I engage with music, with my everyday life, and the things that shape it. Love, melancholy, encounters, doubt, lightness. Everything that moves me finds its way onto the canvas. Each piece becomes a rhythmic record of my inner state. Sometimes loud, sometimes fragile, sometimes harmonious, but always honest! My technique is a continuous forward motion: developing, discarding, rediscovering. A process that never stands still. For me, painting lives through transformation, through searching and allowing. Every work becomes a moment in motion. An echo of whatever is resonating within me at that time.
