We recently returned to @bpsglenville to continue with our storytelling and graphic score workshops! We can’t wait to back in May for our final set of workshops for the school year!
We love our partnership with @ucanchicago ! This time we worked with their Senior Leadership team. We presented a graphic score workshop focusing on team building and strengthening team dynamics. They took into account their team’s core values and created graphic scores that encompassed them.
Thanks UCAN for having us, we can’t wait to come back!
Last week we went to @myo_indy to do a new graphic score workshop that focused on team building and group improv. The orchestra worked together to create and perform their own musical compositions 🎨
We can’t wait to come back this week to present a brand new workshop! Thank you MYO for having us!
Last week, we continued our work with @ucanchicago staff in a graphic score workshop with the employees of the Victim Advocacy Support Program. Victim Advocates provide comfort and emotional support for victims of domestic violence and other violent crime.
In this workshop, we combined graphic score creation with discussion of the Victim Advocates team’s core values. Then, they collaborated to make a series of graphic scores that encompass their team values.
It was so exciting to see their core values translated into art and music! We can’t wait to come back!
More graphic score workshops at @ucanchicago ! This past week we presented our graphic score workshop to several different youth programs at UCAN.
Thank you to @civicorchestra for sponsoring this project!
We are so grateful to have been able to return to @ucanchicago ! This time around we had the opportunity to work with UCAN program leadership. During our graphic score workshop, UCAN employees had the chance to compose original music that told their individual stories.
We also want to give a big thank you to @civicorchestra for sponsoring this project!
Last week, we returned to @bpsglenville with a new storytelling workshop! @max_reese_ composed original music to accompany the narration of the story “Song In the City” by Daniel Bernstrom to create an interactive storytelling experience. We cannot wait to come back to breakthrough in the coming months to present more storytelling workshops!
Over the next few weeks we are preparing for a busy Spring! Leading up to that we are excited to share some clips of our recent visit to @bpsglenville . Here is the theme from our Storytelling Through Music workshop based on the Three Little Pigs. Original music by @max_reese_ .
Such a special time working with participants at @sarahscirclechi ! We presented a workshop on found instruments where participants and teaching artists created their own rhythms and performed for each other using everyday items. Sarah’s Circle does incredible work and we can’t wait to come back!
We had such a great time working with @bpsglenville and their K-2 students! Our team created an interactive musical storytelling workshop to “The Three Little Pigs” with original music by @max_reese_ and illustrations by @eva.m.spencer . Kindergarten students were able to engage hands on in making choices that changed the trajectory of the story and material.
2nd grade students were able to compose their own pieces of music through graphic scores that our team then performed.
