Shotaro Odate is a Honda chief engineer best known for his work on advanced safety tech. He’s been with Honda since 2003, holds 250+ patents, and has published 9 studies on vehicle safety.
Online, he’s also become famous for his signature anime-like hairstyle, which he’s apparently worn for decades. Odate says his hair is naturally messy every morning, so he just uses gel to keep it out of his left eye instead of styling it properly.
And he can also bench press 170 kg — at 84 years old.
