Track Athlete of the Week Ella Impaglia @nazathletics Impaglia wrapped up her tremendous collegiate career by winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase by almost 15 seconds in a career-best time of 10:55.07 at the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Championships, hosted by Ursinus College on May 13. She moved into 32nd nationally in the event.
Field Athlete of the Week Samantha Luba @nazxctf Luba shattered Nazareth’s program record in the heptathlon for the second straight week at the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Championships, hosted by Ursinus College on May 13-14 and punched her ticket to the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Luba collected a career-high 4,694 points. She had personal bests in the javelin throw at 25.41 meters (83' 4") and the 200-meters (26.06). She was the top finisher in the high jump and was second in the 200-meters, 800-meters, and 100-meter hurdles. Luba, who earned her second straight E8 weekly honor, moved into 18th nationally in the heptathlon.

Track Athlete of the Week Emerson Comer@geneseoknights Comer won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Championships, hosted by Ursinus College on May 13 by eight seconds in a time of 8:54.64, which moved him into seventh place nationally in the event. @geneseoxctf
Co-Field Athlete of the Week Graeden Heichberger @nazathletics Heichberger won the shot put at the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Championships, hosted by Ursinus College on May 13 with a career-best throw of 17.52 meters (57’ 5.75”). With that throw, Heichberger moved into 13th nationally and punched his ticket to the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships this week. He also placed third in the hammer throw with a throw that traveled 55.71 meters (182’ 9”) It is his third E8 weekly honor of the season. @nazxctf
Co-Field Athlete of the Week Brandon Kaplan @fisherathletics Kaplan captured his second consecutive regional title in the hammer throw to lead the St. John Fisher men's track and field team in the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships at Ursinus College on May 13. Kaplan won the hammer throw with a mark of 58.36 meters (191’ 6”), his best career toss in the AARTFC Outdoor Championships. He claimed the championship last year with a throw that traveled 57.59 meters (188’ 11”) and is headed to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the second straight season. Natalie Long, Rosemary Mahoney, Katie Rajkowski and Violet Piccinini were named to the IWLCA Empire Region Second Team after an incredible season.
Mahoney and Long led the Knights offense all season long and earned First-Team All-Empire 8 honors while finishing first and second on the team in points with 68 and 60, respectively. Mahoney posted 33 goals and 35 assists, marking the second-straight season with 68 points for the sophomore, and Long surpassed the 100 career goal mark after recording a team-best 42 goals. Rajkowski also landed on First-Team All-Empire 8 by recording 37 points, 54 draw controls, and 35 ground balls. Piccinini picked up Second-Team All-Empire 8 honors and highlighted her junior campaign by setting the single-season draw control record with 88 while tacking on 31 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers for the defense.

IWLCA DIII All-Region Honors 2026 🥍‼️
Two Golden Eagles were named to the IWLCA Empire Region Second Team, recognizing senior Arianna Reed and junior Christina Ross as top regional performers! 🤩
Arianna Reed was a wall in the cage, leading the Empire 8 in save percentage (0.485) while posting an 8.12 goals-against average and 100 saves. The Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Year anchored a defense that allowed just 8.22 goals per game 🧱
Christina Ross started every game and led the Green and Gold with 54 draw controls. The All-Conference First Team selection was a defensive anchor, totaling 20 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers during her standout junior campaign 💎
