✨ A New Work by Arts Fellow Madelyn Sher ✨ Join us April 24 & 25 at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts for "A Note That Bends" - an evening-length dance theater performance, inspired by the conventions of Western music and theater. At the center of this work is the figure of the conductor: a conduit not only of timing and dynamics, but of something more elusive. Sher asks, what better way to express the indescribable than through the body? "A Note That Bends" features a powerful ensemble of local artists, an original score by Ryan Wolfe, and dramaturgy by Kris Pourzal. ⏰April 24 & 25 at 7:30 PM 🎟️ Tickets: $10 (link in bio or tickets.arts.emory.edu) #EmoryDance #AtlantaDance #DanceTheater #ContemporaryDance #EmoryArts

Guess who's back on campus... ⭐️Alumna Mia Shocket⭐️ This spring we've had the honor of welcoming back 2024 alumna Mia, to reset a work she first created as part of her Honors Thesis here at Emory. The new iteration of this work aims to "capture what it feels like to hear a rhythmic sound and almost involuntarily move your body". We can't wait to see this work restaged, and performed by 12 of our talented EDC artists. Tickets for the concerts on April 15-18 are on sale NOW!🔗 #EmoryDance #EmoryDanceCompany #DanceConcert #AtlantaDance #DanceAtlanta
