I often find myself in tears feeling so incredibly grateful that this is my person and we were blessed with these babies. My life is so full and Jesus is so good.
Motherhood is pitter patterns down the hallway
before the sun has even stretched awake.
It’s sleepy eyes, tangled hair,
and tiny hands reaching for yours
like you are still their whole world.
It’s giggles at bedtime
echoing through the house,
one more story, one more hug,
one more kiss goodnight.
It’s the work that goes unseen—
the folding, washing, carrying, comforting,
the quiet prayers whispered over sleeping faces.
Holy work.
The kind Heaven surely notices.
Motherhood is doing the Lord’s work
with tired hands and a full heart.
It’s sweet “I love you’s”
pressed between sticky kisses
and little arms wrapped tightly around your neck.
And somehow, it is joy and heartbreak together—
watching them grow while missing
the versions of them you’ll never hold again.
But even knowing how quickly it all passes,
you would choose every moment again.
Every hallway footstep,
every bedtime giggle,
every kiss goodnight.
Because this love—
this sacred, overwhelming love—
is a gift you would never trade for the world
