Emma Bednarski is a dancer and choreographer based in New Jersey, whose foundation in studio training and passion for contemporary dance has blended with the hip hop and street styles she explores today. While she finds joy in teaching young dancers in the studio, she’s thrilled to work with her peers to create for The Warmup stage. This new warm-up piece aims to include feel good movement with her usual wiggles and floorwork, along with some new dancers. Emma is honored to once again share her work and perform with this talented group of artists.

Always appreciate taking from and dancing with some crazy artists. Spent two days at @thehivedancestudio in August and truly was such a needed break from studio building grind. I mean look at these pieces 🔥. Grateful for all the ways dance has and continues to bless my life 😌

She’s still got a little ways to go til final product but @revolutiondancenj holds its first classes tomorrow with day 1 of intensive 🥹. Seeing everything come together these past few weeks and even more so in these past few days has been soul fulfilling.
More sappiness to come later but so grateful for my partner @rachel_bernstein and our joint labor of love❤️. Seeing manifestations of our hard work makes it all absolutely worth it. We can’t wait to share with our students this week.

Emma Bednarski is a NJ dancer/choreographer who’s studio contemporary dance style changed when she joined The Wannabes and then Project D. Emma’s love for dance recently turned into her career with the upcoming opening of her new studio, @revolutiondancenj (Tenafly, NJ). Though aimed at teaching the next generation of young dancers, Emma hopes to also make the studio a community space for dancers of northern NJ.
Worm-Up aims to mesh Emma’s contemporary background with the various styles she continues to explore today. She’s honored to get to hone in on her fusion style with friends from all aspects of her dance journey. Emma wants to thank her project team for lending her their artistry and UFP for the opportunity to share her work on stage for the first time!

Taught this round 2 for @creativexchange.ws . Focused more on textures and movement clarity and wow I saw my own improvement
🎵: “Careless” @fkatwigs Taught a lil bit of contemp concepts and movement for a short session during @projectd_nj rehearsal and it felt so good to exchange. Watching my teammates tackle new and foreign movement and make it their own was wow, went home feeling more healed and more whole. 🫶

I’m so lucky for the opportunity to attend and learn alongside my @progressivedancestudio kiddos 🤗. The faculty was crazy and these pieces were a push. I came out feeling so inspired and fulfilled (and back broken lmao). Experiences like this keep me so grateful to still have dance in my life, riding this high for a while 😌
