Delighted to have my ceramic vessel “Hot concrete on my skin’ included in “Rituals’ an exhibition by @fronteergallery This work is from my ‘Life Rituals’ series, exploring transformational moments of my misspent youth, where hanging around play parks became a daily ritual. Using a subtractive process for finding form and layering slip and glaze before firing, the vessel echos the transformation that occurred in this liminal space.

Looking forward to exhibiting some work this month with Visual Arts Scotland at the Maclaurin Art Gallery, Ayr. Exhibition dates: 28th March 2026 - 30th May 2026 Folklore;
The Art and Craft of Storytelling. The exhibition text from VAS Scotland: Folklore is never fixed. It evolves with each retelling, carried across generations through craft, song, ritual, and imagination. Ayrshire’s landscape; from its rugged coastline and selkie myths to the haunted ruins celebrated by Robert Burns, has long inspired stories that bridge the human and the otherworldly. This exhibition brings together artists and makers who use craft as a vessel for storytelling. Weaving together the material and the mythic, they reimagine traditions and invent new narratives for the future. From selkie legends that speak to belonging and transformation, to contemporary myths of migration, technology, and climate change, the works on display trace how stories are made tangible in clay, textile, wood, paper, sound, and performance. Future Folklore: The Art and Craft of Storytelling celebrates the enduring power of craft to preserve, reinvent, and create tales that shape our collective identity; stories that root us in place while imagining what comes next. I’m super stoked to be starting the new year showing my ceramics, for the first time, in the Kiln II exhibition at Coburg House. Curated by the lovely @evierosethornton . Alongside some of my ceramic vessels, my painting is also on another outing. The artworks sit together in dialogue and create a shared space for contemplation. Open Saturday and Sunday every weekend until the 1st of February.

What an amazing exhibition launch! I’m very pleased my painting ‘Formation of a dream’ has been included in the @visualartsscotland Biennial Exhibition ‘The thread that pulls’. It’s on at the @royal_scottish_academy for the whole of December. A perfect show to explore over the holidays. So many exceptional wonderfully curated artworks. #thethreadthatpulls #visualartsscotland #royalscottishacademy #nationalgalleriesofscotland
