Some days, I wear a tie and dress shoes to work. Other days, I wear shorts and sneakers. 👌

I had it tough over the last few months. 🕯 I spiralled and was at the lowest I had been, maybe ever. I lost two friends; one died on his birthday; he got married a few months before. A friend lost his sister a week after her introduction, two other friends lost their mums. I had a creative block, I couldn't think or cook up ideas or be productive so my books were affected too. No matter hope strong you are, these thing will take a toll eventually. Everything I did was based on habit and all my actions became automated. I became blank and numb but you'd never know because... well, I look and act fine and I don't talk. You'd never know what is going on in my head if I don't tell you and chances are, I won't. 🦧 Everything was happening so fast, most of these people had achieved major milestones, some I hadn't even reached so what is the point of anything, right? I internalised a lot and it took a toll on my health, I eventually broke down completely one Friday night and had to be placed on meds and injections. As long as you're alive and breathing, God's not done with you yet, he is not done writing your story. I've bounced back, better than I was... maybe a little broken but I'm being patched up fine. Thanks to everyone who noticed something and reached out, I appreciate you all. Our stories are still being written... we're not done yet. We'll be fine. Keep pushing, trust the process. 🤗 PS: Whenever someone goes AWOL for a while, there's no big deal of you reach out first. Most times, no one is ignoring you. We all go through stuff, we're just better at handling it than each other. That someone carries it better than you do doesn't mean their challenges are smaller or you have it worse. 📸: @officialteeto_ for @colestudioofficial
