A summary of summer ‘24.
Most notably, Nic proposed in July on a mountaintop in Whistler, BC. So I guess that means we’re engaged now! We are excited for this new fiancé era, and have absolutely no wedding plans at this point.
I traveled, a lot. 4 new countries, 2 repeat countries, and a little but not enough time spent up at The Ranch.
For fun with some of my very best friends, I went to Denmark. Copenhagen was a dream, go if you love doughy pastries and leisurely exploring a city that feels like a small town. For work I was in Singapore for nearly three weeks but it felt like months, it really is a tiny country, full of Disney-esque attractions and malls and very, very humid - but I also had some amazing people with me throughout that made it fun. My first time in Canada was a work/fun trip. Vancouver was gorgeous but not what I expected, and the new ring I received a few days later in Whistler is included in the unexpected (the timing of it I mean)! My last work trip to China was actually wonderful, Shanghai is a city of the future, though I don’t recommend going in August unless you want to be sweaty 100% of the time. Nic and I just arrived back from squeezing in one last summer trip to Spain and France, road tripping around Bordeaux and the Basque Country, the cherry on top to a whirlwind summer.
