2023
I played bass to over 1 million people
Was featured in bass player magazine Japan 🙃
Taught over 1000 lessons
Recorded on so many fun new projects with new people
Was lucky enough to see my family three times
Saw the President, touched a t-rex and met Tuna King
And rode around in Central Park more times than I can remember.
Truly so lucky to have music as my job and be surrounded by such wonderful people in my life
For a girl from a town of 200 people it truly blows my mind.
Thank you to everyone who hires me, endorses me, supports me and brings me snacks.
Here’s to a crazier 2024
Emily Retsas, bassist for Phoebe Bridgers, sits down with EQD to check out our new Aurelius Tri-Voice Chorus! In this demo Emily gives us nice mellow vibes, showcasing the versatility of chorus sounds you can get between the 3 modes. We love the warbly, gritty tone she gets using an ebow in the Rotary mode paired with the Special Cranker, jamming along to some dusty ambient tracks from a vintage Marantz cassette player.
Thanks @emilyretsas for taking time out from your busy tour schedule to hang with us!

We leave to play the Taylor Swift tour today. Almost five years ago to the day I played my first show with @phoebebridgers . It has been the most rewarding time of my life. We’ve swam lakes and danced in Berghain. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried. We’ve eaten a lot of acai bowls and meals on airport floors, weird locker rooms and streets and shared underwear. I’ve met so many people over that time because of tour that have changed my life and there’s really no other five people I’d rather be on stage with.
Slide 4 for the mems
Also these shows are 4800x times more people than the town I grew up in 🤣
