Stepping into the shoes of creative director for this shoot was challenging in the best way. 💭
A lot of times as a makeup artist, you are following the prompt of your client as to what the vision is. We are usually navigating that fine line of using our creativity but remaining within the preferences and requests of our clients.
When planning the shoot, I wanted to create my version of a perfect bridal look without the restriction; to show a version of what I think is a current, yet timeless, bridal beauty look.
I drew most of my inspiration from my clients, what my current brides are asking me for, and also from my experience in the bridal industry as someone who spends way too much time dreaming up different bridal looks.
For this look, I wanted to celebrate how my brides are choosing to pull back on their makeup for their weddings, they want to look like themselves, and they ask me to honour that on their wedding day. My 2026 brides are not afraid to strip down on the glam looks, and are choosing to allow the focus to be their natural beauty. The natural glam is balanced with the refined up do, and ballgown. This is my version of a natural bridal beauty look - which I truly believe is timeless.

A Makeup Lesson is a hands-on, personalized experience designed to help you master your own glam with professional guidance and techniques tailored just for you.
Once we decide on the look, I’ll create a custom face chart that outlines each step, product, and technique we’ll be using.
During the lesson, we’ll work side by side in front of a mirror, going through the application process together. I’ll demonstrate techniques on one side of your face while you practice on the other, offering feedback and guidance throughout. If there’s a specific skill you find challenging, we’ll spend extra time on it so you can leave feeling confident—with plenty of tips, tricks, and pro secrets along the way.
We’ll also review your current makeup collection to see what works best for your features and what you might want to add to achieve your desired look. I’ll make personalized skincare, makeup, and lash recommendations based on what you already have.

A little break from the makeup content to share some things that have inspired me lately 🕊️
We live in a world filled with the creations and contributions of artists. On a recent trip to Europe I had the opportunity to immerse myself in some of the most astoundingly beautiful surroundings.
There were moments when travelling and visiting these incredible locations that just felt surreal and humbling. I was completely filled with awe at the beauty in which human beings are able to produce.
How awesome is it that I can be surrounded by the work and dedication of artists who have long since passed and still be able to enjoy their visions and point of view? Artists live a life of obsession and dedication to beauty often without much personal gain.
I thought I would share some captures from my trip here 🤍
We are surrounded by beauty everyday. Be it a beautiful building, pastry, view or the beauty of getting together with our loved ones. All you have to do is look around and you’ll likely find something beautiful!
