Here’s an excerpt from “When We Were Stars” the new music video from Guster that I co-directed and edited. A small team of us shot it in the few hours during Guster’s soundcheck when they came to my hometown to perform last fall. According to the band, the video is “brought to you by Craigslist props and pure chaos.” We basically made them spin upside-down on a big wheel for a couple hours while we threw stuff at them.
This past weekend, Guster protested Trump’s takeover of the Kennedy Center from its stage by inviting the cast of “Finn” on stage to sing with them. The musical, with LGBT themes, was cancelled by Trump for being too woke. Thanks Guster, for your inclusivity and defending freedom of expression and the arts!
