Who else is ready for Friday? I got up at 4am 🥱to be in the studio before the kids were up. I know that’s a normal hour for lots of people but it’s not for me (even with being a morning person). So I’m immensely thankful for coffee today ☕️ Working on a few custom orders and finishing some new exciting pieces but here is today’s drop and I’m not at all disappointed.
Clockwise from top: Queen southern yellowjacket (found in a greenhouse), native bumblebee 🐝 (gifted by a friend), fern pinnules 🌿 (pressed by hand)
Full disclaimer, I love almost every piece of jewelry I make. Even the mishaps. They are all emblematic for me and my creative process.
But these ones… THESE are the cats meow.
I’ve got a whole new batch of beauties for show this Saturday @merchants.and.makers Holiday Market @hollandciviccenterplace
Don’t be a square. See you there.
THREE!
Last weekend was a big one. We celebrated the love our lives turning three years old and took her out on the town to ring it in with fireworks and ice cream. We spent the weekend at orchards, festivals and with family filling her with as many core memories as possible.
This past month has been immensely difficult. We lost a brother and we are still reeling. Life will never be the same without him. This world is darker without him. We also lost my grandmother and I keep thinking of things I want to share with her that will just have to wait.
But I am so thankful for our own little light that reminds me of the joy that is left. I am thankful for everyone pouring into others and loving their people well because that is what this world desperately needs.
In addition to all of that, we celebrated my dad (Greg Zittel) and his birthday, we celebrated my SUPER COOL brother-in-laws birthday (cheers Vincent!) we celebrated Ellen and all the glamour, grit and grace she brings to the world and we are celebrating my rad sister-in-law and her trips around the moon (Meadow 🫶🏼)
Last but certainly not least, we are celebrating the start of my (second) second trimester. Yep. That’s right. Come March, we will have two little lights in the world and Thaya is so excited for this newest addition.
There has been so much loss but there is also so much good still in the world and I’m thankful for everyone in our community that makes it exactly that. I’m thankful for our village and for every one of you reading this. Thank you for being here ❤️

Sent some mushrooms and bridal lockets off to their respective new homes this weekend and starting work on my next pieces. I am so thankful for this work and especially for the INCREDIBLE friends that support my work and art. This past week alone I have had friends offer words of encouragement, place orders, pick up orders, recommend me to friends, tag me in posts, and connect me with future business opportunities. I am feeling the love.
Speaking of feeling the love, stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway that I'll be posting tomorrow around noon!
Name that movie…
Feeling a lot of emotional heaviness today for other people but managed to create something I’m stoked about so that’s a win and sometimes you gotta take it where you can get it. Amiright?
Favorite one yet.
Thaya is very into Blues Clues right now and letting her watch it gave me some much needed time to create this new mushroom light. Nevermind that the house is a mess and it’s 9pm and she’s still going. Sometimes you just have to feed your soul.
BTS: I was so excited about this light that I was waiting until the very end to turn it on. I wanted the dopamine hit. Finished the whole project and tried to turn it on. But the switch was faulty and immediately broke. Luckily we have a very skilled electrician in the house who was able to re-wire a new battery :)

The Fungus Among-us.
The warm, humid weather has been primo for these little toadstools. We found these around our house and will be drying them for future creations. *disclaimer* always exercise caution when picking wild mushrooms and wash hands immediately after handling any type of fungus.
Just finished up this custom bridesmaid pendant collection for a friend and I’m so very swoony about it. I don’t want to spoil their surprise but CONGRATS! 🥂 🫶🏼 #youknowwhoyouare #lovestuff
