A Typical Atypical | SAKS [2023]
*SPOILER ALERT* Things didn’t pan out… but seeing how the story is unraveling, it was one of the biggest blessings in disguise.
If there hadn’t been a restructuring of the buying team, best believe I would have gone full steam ahead!
The risks I was warned about:
- Unfavourable payment terms
- Late payments [90+ days]
- RTVs [return to vendor]
- Slow sales [not the best time for a new brand launch]
The risks I would have been willing to take:
- ALL of them!
Even when we can’t see it or don’t believe it, things are moving in our favour and most times when something doesn’t work out - it’s for the best.

As stressful as it can be at times [most times], I love my baby through and through
I design the best clothes, with so much range and intention. I literally spent the last 2 months of 2025 wearing @israellakobla every day
I thank God for my creativity all the time and don’t take any of it for granted 🙏🏾

A Typical Atypical | T-22days until I’m OOO for a month
This day we had a little fashion show and tried to finalize the details on one of the gowns in the collection that has been ordered.
We’ve tried a few closure styles and on this day we tested elastic to see if that would work.
#spoileralert : we didn’t end up using elastic, it felt cheap.
