I’m taking a small 10 day hiatus from Embodie.
I believe that every practitioner needs time to pause, reflect, and return home to themselves- to listen, to feel, and to be fully present in their own body. This is why I practice Vipassana, a ten-day silent meditation retreat.
Taking this time is an important act of care for me, so that I can return nourished, clear, and ready to offer you the deepest, most attentive treatments possible.
I’ll be back treating from the 16th of February, with a few new changes I can’t wait to share with you!
Till then with care,
Nik 💌
Our circadian rhythm is an intrinsic biological clock that is governed by the hypothalamus. It is responsible for hormonal secretion, cellular repair, metabolism and sleep- wake patterns over a 24 hour cycle.
•
Exposure to natural light in the early morning suppresses melatonin and increases cortisol, helping with alertness, focus and energy regulation. While, exposure to the softer light at dusk helps recalibrate melatonin release and prepares the nervous system for rest.
Do you feel more energised when you get morning sun?

The endocrine system is a network of glands that produce hormones which are chemical messengers that regulate growth, metabolism, mood, reproduction, and stress responses.
Hormone fluctuations occur because the endocrine system is closely tied to the brain, particularly the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, which act as command centers. These structures constantly sense and respond to internal and external changes to maintain balance.

Hi friends, I’m Nikolina, the osteopath behind Embodie. I haven’t done a proper introduction so here is a little bit about me and why I do what I do.
Movement has always been my compass, it shows me where the body is flowing and where it’s holding on. When I treat, I’m guided by what moves and what doesn’t; by the rhythm, texture, and tone beneath my hands. My approach blends osteopathy, breath, and body awareness to help you come back into your own natural rhythm, to feel more at ease in yourself.
Before becoming an osteopath, I worked with the body in other ways- designing clothes that moved with it, and curating spaces that felt calm and at home to be in. It’s always been about how we feel in our bodies, how we inhabit space, and how embodied movement can shift something deep inside us.
My work now is simply a continuation of that- helping people reconnect to their body’s innate ability, restore flow, and rediscover the wholeness that’s already within them.
I created Embodie because I believe healing doesn’t have to be complicated. It begins with noticing, breathing, and moving. Through my own journey with chronic back pain, I’ve experienced how osteopathy can restore movement, ease pain, and bring balance. This is why I’m so passionate about body literacy and education and helping people understand and trust their bodies, so they can move with confidence and return to what brings them joy.
Outside of practice, I’m often found in my robe sipping tea in the sun, swimming in open water while soaking up the suns rays, dancing barefoot in the dust with friends, or simply watching light move through the leaves. I’m endlessly inspired by nature’s rhythms and how they mirror our own. Cycles of expansion and rest, stillness and motion, forever in awe.
This platform is a labour of love- a space to share knowledge about the body, its anatomy, and how it functions. My hope is that you’ll learn something new and feel inspired to connect more deeply with yourself. Stay tuned for workshops, collaborations, and retreats. I’m excited to see where this evolves and to get embodied with you all!
With care and grace,
Your Osteopath

Sleep- is the foundation of mental and physical health.
The most powerful way to improve well-being is through better rest. Before turning to supplements or gadgets, focus on the basics: a steady sleep schedule, a calming wind-down, and a supportive environment.
Perfection isn’t required, most adults face sleep challenges sometimes, and worrying about it only makes things harder. Aim to get the fundamentals right (quantity, quality, regularity, timing) about 80% of the time.
Also note on slide two- Stage N3/Deep sleep is when your body does its biggest repair job: tissues heal, cells regenerate, your immune system strengthens, and your brain clears waste.
If you’re waking often at night, you may be missing out on this vital phase. That’s why I ask about your sleep in my sessions- it’s fundamental to recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Let’s talk about your lymphatic system.
This often overlooked system plays a vital role in fluid balance, immune defence, and waste removal. Think of it as your body’s internal cleansing and transport network. It works quietly in the background, helping to clear out cellular debris, regulate inflammation, and support recovery.
Unlike your circulatory system, the lymphatic system doesn’t have a central pump like the heart. It relies on movement, breath, and muscular contractions to help lymph flow efficiently.
So if you’re feeling puffy, stagnant, or heavy-your lymphatic system might need a little support.
Through gentle osteopathic techniques, we can work together to restore ease, circulation, and flow through your body.
If you’re curious or feeling the call to care for your system more deeply, reach out.
