❤️MELBOURNE SHE MATTERS STOP KILLING RALLY - MARCH 15❤️
The She Matters Stop Killing Women rally has been confirmed for Naarm (Melbourne).
I will be helping out at the rally, which is one of many being held across the country on Saturday, March 15.
The rallies will bring attention to Australia’s femicide epidemic, while calling for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton and Premier Jacinta Allen to roll out meaningful budgetary measures, policy, legal changes and action to end violence against women in our country.
Each rally will commemorate the 112 women killed since January 1, 2024.
As I write, 11 women have been killed this year and 101 women were lost last year.
❤️WHEN: Assemble from 11.30am. Starts 12noon. Ends 2.30pm, Saturday, March 15, 2025
❤️WHERE: Steps of Parliament, Melbourne.
❤️BRING: Protest placards and signs, electric candles and flowers.
This national protest will put pressure on every political party and candidate as we head into this year’s election.
We need to end domestic violence, stranger violence, associate violence, femicide, murder, sexual assault, sexual harassment and misogyny.
The rallies are organised and funded by Australian Femicide Watch and The RED HEART Campaign. They are community driven and coordinated and staffed by an incredible group of women who are giving their time freely.

1. I risked it all by taking a photo in the final room of the Kafka museum, which had a no photography policy*, and all I got was this blurry mess
2. I disturbed the peace in the Gonville and Caius chapel with my loud camera after @pialid2017 snuck us in, and all I got was this blurry mess.
3. my friend @flynnturkey helped revive my camera and my commemorative selfie was a blurry mess
*this room didn’t have any historical texts or artefacts which needed to be protected against cameras, was a room of mirrors with a short film playing
a magical, raw, queer, stunning night at the museum.
@pialid2017 is the most incredible host ever ❤️
