Lisa, who leads People & Culture at Embark and is Chair of Rebuild East Midlands, is taking on this challenge to raise money for some incredible causes - supporting individuals to rebuild their lives and making a real difference in our communities.
In true Lisa fashion, she’s embracing the experience with honesty (she says she can’t dance!) and a great sense of humour - all for a fantastic cause.

Celebrating fantastic achievement at Ladywood Primary School 👏
Our Trust Leader, Matthew Crawford, had the pleasure of presenting an Embark Award to one very deserving young person - recognising their outstanding effort and commitment.
The Embark Award celebrates more than just academic success. They recognise pupils who show resilience, kindness, determination and a real dedication to their learning and school community. This award highlights those who go above and beyond and truly live our values every day.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome another school into the Embark family - a very warm welcome to Harpur Hill Primary and Nursery School.
As part of our growing Buxton community, their addition marks an exciting step forward. We are now a trust of 28 schools, and we feel incredibly fortunate to continue growing alongside such dedicated staff, young people, and communities.
Harpur Hill Primary and Nursery School shares a strong commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every young person is encouraged to thrive, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential - values that sit at the heart of everything we do across Embark.

Since launching Staff Spotlight this spring term, we’ve received nearly 300 nominations from across our Embark schools – a brilliant reflection of the culture we’re building together.
Staff Spotlight was created to recognise and celebrate the everyday moments that make a real difference – the small acts of kindness, teamwork and dedication that bring our Collective Commitment to Inclusion to life.
Every nomination tells a story. From colleagues going above and beyond for young people, to supporting one another through challenging times, to creating environments where everyone feels they belong.
What are we seeing so far?
⭐ Teamwork is the most recognised value, highlighting how strongly our staff support each other across schools
⭐ Followed closely by Family and Success, showing the care and ambition that underpin our culture
⭐ Integrity also features throughout, with many nominations recognising colleagues who consistently “do the right thing”
