There aren't enough medical facilities or supplies to treat injuries and illnesses. Everything is in short supply, causing prices to skyrocket. Most people haven't been able to work or earn an income for over a year. Yet daily life must go on. *Note: Due to Israeli occupation policies, Gaza's access to goods and energy was already restricted before October 2023, and many were unable to find employment even then. This isn't to minimise the current situation, but to acknowledge that these aren't new hardships.* ▶︎Page 3 Water is the most basic survival need. Yet infrastructure has been destroyed and international supplies are restricted. That's why Mohammad, age 17, with help from his Japanese friends, started an initiative to pump groundwater from wells. He travels across central Gaza, pumping water from wells and distributing it to local communities. ▶︎Page 4 Mohammad's work has helped countless people who previously had to walk for kilometres and pay excessive prices for water. However, funding is running low. A crowdfunding campaign has launched to raise 54,000 USD by the end of 2024.
