‘Don’t Know Who My Friends Are’ by DeepFaith 🪩
Had a blast creating this short lyric video in After Effects for a Music in Motion assessment!
Huge thanks to @thedeepfaith for letting me work with this amazing song!! 🙌
GRIT magazine design - my final assignment for my typography class!
GRIT magazine aims to attract your senses using colour and texture to target the tactile curiosity the lives innately within humans. Each issue is designed with texture and tactility in mind. From the paper stock to image treatment, GRIT magazine is designed to make you want to feel.
A drawing I made for my social design concept ‘Saturdays in the Park’.
Saturdays in the Park offers a sustainable social alternative to air conditioning using natural shade and fulfilling the desire for social connection in young people. Hosted by different community groups each week, there will be activities and fundraisers aimed to encourage people to leave their house and reduce the negative effects of air con.
Hand drawn by me and coloured using Photoshop!
A user journey map I created for my interactive museum exhibit design ‘Conversations in Light’. ☎️💡
Conversations in Light is an interactive design
concept of a museum exhibit about the 1958
SAFNAT 2+7 telephone. In this exhibit, visitors will
communicate with other visitors using the multiline
buttons on the telephone through projected lines
on the floor to create an appreciation for the
complex network of connections between people
that this telephone enabled.
My graphic narrative about the invasive and destructive nature of the upside down jellyfish shown through the metaphor of tourists!
I’m not normally an illustrator but it was so fun to draw all these little tourists and their colourful Caribbean buildings!
Final assignment for motion graphics sem 1! Working with Western Sydney’s ‘Outloud’, we had to adapt short audio excerpts from ‘Stories from Here’ into short animated projects.
Absolutely loved this elective and am super proud of how far my motion has come!
Motion design about the upside-down jellyfish! 🪼
My animation explains the process of senescence in upside-down jellyfish based on the article ‘Survival Stories’. I’ve had a great time experimenting with After Effects so far this semester and learning heaps of new skills!
UV printed poster based on the interconnection of international families.
By physically manipulating type and UV printing glossy ink ‘threads’, my poster represents the invisible threads that connect families who live on opposite sides of the world. The shapes of some continents are also drawn into these glossy threads.
Book cover designs for ‘A Very Short Introduction’ series!
I had such a great time experimenting with mark making and typography for these book covers to put a contemporary and engaging spin on this popular series. This book design is made for the hundreds of titles in this series so I’ve created an easily replicated and modified design for each individual book.
First time working with motion design!
My design showcases some interesting features about the font Futura and what makes it a popular font choice. I really enjoyed working with motion design and experimenting with After Effects to create some cool animations!
Experimenting with mark making to create a zine and poster about the climate crisis.
My campaign aims to encourage people to take individual action against climate change by choosing standard shipping when online shopping. Express shipping forces trucks out that are not filled to their capacity, generating more traffic and emissions.
