🇩🇲 hiked the Waitukubuli National Trail in Dominica. Starting from the southern tip of the island, Scott’s Head and working our way up to the northern tip, eventually ending at Cabrits National Park. Winding and weaving the treacherous terrain, beautiful waterfalls, remote jungles, getting lost in the middle of nowhere, chest deep river crossings, steep (almost vertical) ascents and descents in ankle deep mud… practically wearing said mud. WNT 115 (ish) miles, estimated 38,000ft elevation gain & 36,000ft loss (also ish) The trail was established in 2013, Dominica has been hit with at least 3 hurricanes since, significantly changing the course, from landslides, flooding, erosion, intense regrowth, even some rivers have taken new routes so navigating can sometimes be challenging, evidence of previous trail practically erased. Spent the rest of our island time in Picard bay, eating “bakes” and drinking local juice, snorkeling; seeing some magnificent wildlife from Octopi, to 6ft spotted eagle rays, cuddle fish, and so much more! XX

hi, I hiked 200 miles of the Oregon Coast Trail in 10 days… that was pretty rad! highways, forests, towns, beaches, capes in all:) met some dope humans, all in all incredible minus the highway walks w no shoulder… womp
