~ No matter how far we are from our lands, their essence is always with us. ~
In many Latin American regions, the diaspora is woven into a collective identity. This manifests in shared recipes that embody not only territories but inherited food traditions and stories of migration. Ingredients like maize, manioca, plantain, and potato travel across borders, blending with new flavors and creating a multi-layered narrative of culture and resilience. Food becomes a common language that embraces diversity, bringing people closer to their roots while forging new connections.
𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢: 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 ~ Looking back on our collaboration with
@shuffle.ch 2024 this summer, where Latin American traditions met Swiss flavors. We created a space for sharing, exchanging, and reflecting — all through the power of food, stories, and cultural connections. A reminder of how food carries the essence of home.
Maize, manioca, plantain, and potato told the story, enriched by Swiss seasonal ingredients, sound, movement, and visual storytelling. A gathering that celebrated heritage, identity, and unity.
