City girl meets mountain life…and somehow, it fits.
Spending time in Asheville, North Carolina with family has been a reminder that style isn’t about geography—it’s about perspective. So yes, while there are winding roads, quiet mornings, and trees instead of traffic…there are also book readings, fascinating little boutiques, art galleries, curated design venues, and inspiring museum afternoons.
The Asheville Art Museum’s Women of the Pacific Northwest installation was exceptional, and of course, no visit is complete without wandering through the Biltmore House—the closest thing Asheville has to a castle—filled with remarkable books, art, and even a few Monets quietly living in the mountains.
So the essentials remain intact: shopping, style, books, art…and apparently, bears.
And yes, the photo is real.
