How I’ve been moving lately! This spring I’m celebrating freedom AND transformation. The freedom to move, the freedom to feel, the freedom to live in a way that’s closer to what’s real. 🙌 The track has become a staple part of my authentic self. Growing up a runner, I thrived in my element until injuries held me back. With a new focus on maintenance AND prevention I’ve been able to recover from things that set me back for years… Now I’m working on some exciting things with the help of @elsewheremvmt that I’m excited to share in greater detail with our community soon 🫶 That being said, foot health has become a major factor on my road to recovery. Finding what combination of therapies works best has improved my overall performance. None of this would have been possible if I wasn’t wearing the proper shoes, intentionally. This is a MUST. monday mvmt ~ the flow to pistol squat 1. The wave sound instrument → arrive, soften, land in the body 2. Supine legs up the wall → foot articulation to wake up the feet + ankles 3. Single leg bridge (tempo) → up 1, down 3 → build posterior chain + control 4. Single leg stretch → precision + dynamic tempo with breath 5. Boat pose → roll back → deep core + spinal control 6. Seated hip flexor step-over → tap leg up and over block **Slide blanket under heel for tactile feedback + foot activation 7. Kneeling lunge → dynamic back knee hover → exhale to find hip extension → continue using blanket for grounding + awareness through the foot 8. Slow knee drive balance → control the transition, own the standing leg 9. Eagle prep flow (side to side) → explore crossing midline + hip stability 10. Standing modified head-to-knee prep → length + balance + compression 11. Pistol squat → block under foot for feedback → or blanket under heel (as Élan demoed) to find access Everything along this journey is the work. mvmt monday with elsewhere ~ 360 core taking core off the “back” this week + weaving it head to toe. always building smart progressions to prep the body + support the work. 1. 90/90 leg swings → forward/back flowing into pigeon prep → pelvis glides forward to lunge 2. KB bear plank pull through 3. KB halo + kneeling static hold variations •option 1: block press to ground the back knee + find hip extension •option 2: hover for balance + stability 4. KB around the world → take it to your toes -add a soft sissy squat hinge if you want a little extra spice 5. KB Reverse Lunge Torso Twist Knee Drive move with intention and let everything build from the ground up. Humans are commonly biased. We breathe, stand, and move in patterns that favor one side of the body. Over time, the pelvis and rib cage adapt around that bias. Problems show up when one side consistently does more work and the other side has less access. Load isn’t shared evenly, breath becomes limited, and movement efficiency drops. This workshop focuses on repositioning, restoring access so both sides can participate more equally. The goal isn’t perfect symmetry, but better coordination and load sharing. We work with pelvic mechanics, rib cage positioning, and breath. When the rib cage stacks over the pelvis and pressure is managed well, the diaphragm can support posture and movement without excessive tension. Breath becomes a tool for repositioning rather than bracing. Pilates exposes side-to-side differences quickly. Strength training reveals how those differences affect load. Together, they help redistribute work so movement feels more supported and less forced. Led by Chandler + Élan with support from chiropractor and movement specialist Dr. Jodie Gibson, this workshop is an exploration of common movement bias and how to create better options.
