„The Space Between Us“ is an exploration of antisemitism, marginalization and empathy. The bodies and voices of the protagonists move through Berlin, exploring an inner and outerspace that continually unfolds from multiple perspectives. What does the space between us look like?
How do we deal with the rupture and violence? Can we bridge the distance between us with gentleness and empathy? This hybrid documentary film explores the almost unbearable ambivalences of this space. Cautiously exploring, questioning, and feeling, the various protagonists establish a relationship with it.
Coming on 26 April

Joining the digital human chain for Kajol. On March 10th, photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol went missing in Dhaka, a day after an FIR was filed against him and 31 other journalists under the country’s Digital Security Act. He had been reporting on sex scandals by members of the ruling party of Bangladesh.
.
Please join this human chain by posting a photo of yourself to demand to know: “ Where is Kajol?”. Please tag @whereiskajol ? #whereiskajol
.
Kajol’s son @polokmonrom and his family need all the support possible, especially now at this time when Covid-19 coverage dominates world news and draconian governments use this cover for so much of their silencing. Visibility of these cases is critical, as we have learnt from past cases. Please amplify.
