Nightcurse is my second YA fantasy novel set the same magical world as Witchlore. It’s a story of timeless love, of a boy who walks out of his grave, and magical libraries.
Written at my late Nan’s bureau, incorporating the chilling folklore of the undead, set in the depths of the winter solstice and inspired by my dear friend Nat Reeve, who introduced me to the mythology of revenants. Also featuring the same spell that inspired the @smallfoolsmusic to write the song ‘Bone to Bone.” Nightcurse is a darker look at the world of Witchlore, with characters who walk in the shadow of death.

This event is the highlight of my month. I’ve been wanting to do an event with @sophiekeetchauthor since our agents introduced us back in 2023. Now we are daily writing pals and we have SO much to share with everyone about the inside details of how Sophie wrapped up this wonderful trilogy. I’ve been a writing hole for February but the seasons have started to turn and with them, the first draft of my next adult novel is complete. Apologies for messages left on read, big thanks to everybody who has kept me in lattes and company and told me to keep going. Of course now I am in a chronic health slump because that’s what being a chronically ill person with a deadline is like, but I made it. I wasn’t sure I would and now I’m taking a new book into spring.
