I’ve been on the radio for ten years. In late 2013 I had just finished my design degree. I had moved back home and was regularly crashing at my brother Jonny’s place after nights we went to gigs at Dux Live. @jagamusic_ came over to Jonny’s one night and asked me if I wanted to regularly play on his radio show Wonk Panthers on @rdu985fm . I had come to hang out in the horse float turned studio (RDUnit) a few times over the last couple years and enjoyed listening to the show on the way home from my Sunday night shift at Hillmorton Hospital. Of course I said yes.
I had been loosely DJing at house parties since like 2010 and had only played my first gig in October 2013 at Dux Live. Ben seemed to like my footwork and grime adjacent selections and I was extremely eager to play on a station I grew up listening to from the backseat of my dad’s car. Over the years the show has taken a few different forms but the consistent element has always been clear: Ben b2b Pete.
