This was my final final for the CMRC Round 4 - 5 inch. I started strong, taking the holeshot and keeping first for the first lap, but a gate tap and some small mistakes allowed Whodeany to sneak past. After that the battle was on.
I ended up 2nd for this race, getting a clean sweep of 2nd for all 4 of the finals in the bottom of A, giving my 10th overall for the day. Sadly after some issues with my ProSpec quads I had to drop out of the ProSpec finals (so I was 10th overall for ProSpec, but think I wouldāve climbed up a few positions in the finals if I had working quads).
Any day flying, even if thereās issues and Iām not winning is still great!

I flew this in the morning at 7-8AM at a local skate park. I put 5 packs through my NewBeeDrone Hummingbird RS3.1 in some pretty strong wind and managed to have a good crack at the challenges and some new things... diving through a basketball hoop!
I decided to shoot this with my DVR, Osmo Action 6 stick cam and Z30 showing the full scene and getting B-roll. For this video I wanted to try some new editing tricks and play around with multiple cameras. Iām still working out how I want to run multi camera videos, so feel free to leave feedback or suggestions in the comments.

Flys really well (even in some decent wind), and allows for some very unique videos (Iāll be posting more soon).
This shot has been edited, but having 8k recording and the ability to reframe videos and photos after the fact is really useful.

Had an early start today so headed to the skate park to fly some whoops.
Worked on the first training ground for @internationalgameofwhoop and just had a bit of fun.
It was quite windy and I had a few spirited disagreements with the birds, but itās always great to get out for a rip!

Video from my first race day attempting the @aufpv_association_inc 2026 Australian Drone Nationals Qualifier track.
I started at 20-22 seconds a lap, but consistently brought that down until I was flying consistent 18s. I then started getting some 17, 16 and 15s. By the end of the day I put together two 15s and a 16 for a total time of 47.83
Lap 1 - 15.88
Lap 2 - 16.27
Lap 3 - 15.68
It was a really fun track with lots of tight knife edges and turns, but it flowed really well. Iāll hopefully put some more laps into it soon and see if I can improve my time.
Thereās some great overtakes throughout these laps that I didnāt even know I was doing (I just flew as if I had the track to myself).
I also noticed watching back that as I started the first of my good laps, Snapper held a sausage in front of my face hahaha.... Maybe that was the secret to fast laps?
