For nearly a century, we’ve dedicated ourselves to the art and craftsmanship of natural leather. Quality at Elmo means complete control — from farm to finished product — ensuring not only the finest leather but also a commitment to animal welfare. Every hide that leaves our tannery has been carefully handled by our skilled hands, so you can feel the difference.

Teklan’s tote bag extends the Elmonordic palette beyond furniture. Constructed from stitched pieces of leather, it explores colour blocking as both method and expression — a small object, shaped by the same clarity and playfulness that defines her work.

Blå Station’s series Vilhelm, designed by Borselius & Bernstrand, balances a strict, minimal frame with a surprisingly soft expression. A moulded wooden shell forms the structure, while upholstered elements — armrests, back and headrest — introduce comfort, variation and colour. In leather, each choice shifts the character of the chair, from quiet and tonal to more defined and present.

We’re happy to extend an invitation to clients, collaborators, and international press to visit and explore Elmo at Trends & Traditions in Copenhagen on May 7th.
Come say hi at stand H68!
A bold choice for a quiet corner. Sancal’s Mini Tortuga lounge chair carries a strong character on its own — here emphasised through a refined red leather from Tekla Evelina Severin’s Elmonordic palette.
Our commitment to quality and craftsmanship runs deep. With nearly nine decades of experience, our heritage is rooted in the artistry of leather tanning. From the beginning, we've controlled every aspect of production at our own tannery in Sweden, ensuring each piece of leather meets our exacting standards. Our journey is one of tradition, innovation, and a passion for creating leather that tells a story — one that endures through generations.

Metallics and leather? Absolutely. Elmotreasure, a soft and pliable semi-aniline leather, is available in stunning metallics like silver, gold, and bronze. Its outstanding comfort, combined with excellent durability, makes it the perfect choice for public environments.
Swedese’s chair Serpentine by Broberg & Ridderstråle begins with a single line — an S-shaped gesture that defines both form and movement. Upholstered in Elmo leather, the surface responds beautifully to light, creating contrasts that shift throughout the day. The material brings a quiet depth to the slender structure, balancing precision with warmth.

It was a busy few days in the Elmo Leather showroom since the Madrid Design Festival, with a steady flow of visitors, conversations and meetings.
One of the highlights was Chromatic Lab, where designers and architects gathered to work hands-on with leather, colour and material samples. Together with colour expert Judith van Vliet of The Color Authority, and with textiles by Fidivi, the session focused on how colour is experienced through material.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Welcome to the heart of our facilities, our natural tannery. This is where we, early in the process, set the bar for quality and define characteristics like thickness, grain, and softness. Through vegetable tanning, we turn visions into reality. Pictured here are wet hides after the dyeing process.
