We ordered two rice boxes:
• White rice with fried chicken, curry goat gravy, BBQ chicken + mac & cheese, slaw and plantain.
• Rice & peas with jerk chicken, fried chicken and BBQ chicken.
The flavour was doing what it needed to do.

Price/value: 8/10
Atmosphere: 7.5/10
Overall a solid Caribbean spot in Manchester.

What’s this I’m hearing about meal prep having to be dead and bland? Over here, we’re eating good because yes health is wealth, but 90% of us eat for the flavour‼️
So here’s my take on Bulgur Jollof and Fried Bulgur Rice packed with taste, nutrients, and culture. Bulgur wheat is high in fibre, great for digestion, and keeps you full for longer. It’s also a solid source of energy, rich in vitamins, and lower in calories than white rice.
I refuse to throw my heritage in the bin for the sake of “75 Hard” or “keeping fit.” Here’s where culture meets fitness.
