LANE EIGHT TO CLOSE BRIEFLY FOR A FULL REVAMP ✨// If your daily routine starts outside Clapham Common Tube, read this.
@laneeight_coffee will close from 23rd February until 2nd March for a short refurbishment reopening on 3rd March with a refreshed space and a seriously elevated coffee offering.
We caught up with owner Luca to find out what’s changing and it’s more than just a paint job. The space is getting new flooring, textured walls and a slight shop extension.
But the biggest shift? The coffee. From March, Lane Eight will be serving three different batch brews every single day, including:
• Anaerobic honey natural process from China
• Natural process from Yemen
• Kenya natural process
Alongside their house blend, they’ll also introduce a monthly guest coffee plus a single-origin Ethiopian decaf.
They’re also installing new grinders improving precision and consistency in every shot. And for the first time, there will be a few proper seats available. If you’re staying in, your coffee will be served in proper mugs not just takeaway cups.
Milk is changing too. They’re moving away from Oatly and switching to
@roaoats Milk from the Netherlands, designed specifically for speciality coffee.
On the food side, expect vegan pastries including banana bread, cinnamon, raspberry, dark chocolate and pistachio all supplied by
