I’m so pleased and proud to share one of the new chapters I’ve been braining on.
Made Of is a brand my friend Simon @__simonbourgeois and I have been building slowly but surely for a bit now.
Simon is one of the most talented archivist I know and I was more than thrilled when he offered me to join our forces to build that wonderful project.
I’m honoured to now be Made Of’s Artistic Director, designer and co-owner. A new playground with infinite possibilities which allows me to explore new areas of design and collaborate with my beloved friends.
The fabric is our starting point. Everything starts depending on what Simon finds through his research trips across the USA and France.
Simon, through the lens of his expert eyes, finds unique fabrics. It can be an old military canvas marked with 60 years of fading under the sun, the dust and the rain, an old French linen or tinking fabric weaved in the early 20th century, heavy 70’s American denims or even wool blankets made between the 40’s and the 70’s. Each place he explores can turn into a real gold mine and open new doors of possibilities. Always in small quantities, sometimes only being able to make a single piece, thanks to those fabrics each Made Of piece has its own unique character.

It has been a real thrill to end the Louis journey with that project. So many talents and craftsmanships stand within that shoe.

Thank you Louis Vuitton for having been the craziest school I could ever have dreamed of. I’ve been at the first row of the best class in the best school with the best Teachers and Mentors. Thank you to all who believed in me and who gave me the chance to express myself through the Louis Vuitton lance. The 2nd floor logic will follow me wherever I go.
I feel like the luckiest "student" on earth. Today, I’m Graduating.
Started in an archive cupboard 6 years ago, leaving as a designer 6 years later. The journey has been soooooo rich, millions of memories, thousands of ideas, hundreds of wonderful people, dozens of friends who became real Family figures.
Projects cooking in my head for quite a long time now and I’m willing to make them happen and share them.
New spaces and places await me. Brain is wired and ready.
Mad Love to the whole Louis Vuitton Studio Homme, to the whole Shoes team in Paris and Italy and to all the wonderful souls I’ve been lucky to meet and work with all along that journey.
