This year was really tough for me. I was challenged emotionally and mentally, it was uncomfortable but it pushed me to grow more than I thought possible. Highlights and lowlights are below.
Was in my 1st gallery show and it was at Minnesota St Project!
My best friend surprised me at the show - from out of town
Lost my Grandfather
Went through a break up and was sad
Went on 3 international trips
Traveled to Milan Design week and stopped in Lisbon en route
Went to Mexico City for the first time
Went to Greece for the first time and saw the acropolis
Lived alone for the first time
Bought a giant dining room table
Felt lonely
Tailored 7 garments
Tried to learn a backflip on skis - I was safe and I failed
Dove platform more than usual
Started going to yoga regularly
Got into making tiramisu and ice cream
Went to / used more saunas
Turned 30
Managed 2 designers at work
Passed the torch to a new Women in Design SF leadership team
Met more creative people and communities
Went to Sea Ranch and the Marin County Civic center for the first time
Read 95 books
Joined a bookclub
My windshield was smashed, the police report called it “malicious mischief”
Went to Jackson Hole for the first time
Cliff jumped
Ate a lot of ice cream, especially at Scoop in Fairfax
Was a porcupine for Halloween and made my costume
My first commercially designed chair was released
Stopped drinking regularly
Went to Angel island and on an SF ferry for the first time
Got really nice dishes
Figured out how to reliably tape my thumbs so they don’t get injured when I dive
Had a sinus infection for 5 months
Hosted a singles mixer
Cast pewter in my apartment
Did a dragon squat
Tried downhill mountain biking and basketball
Saw a panda
My car, mini me, turned 100,000
