Nice by UTMB 100M - 3rd 🥉
Well that was incredible. First mountain 100 miler! Beyond my wildest dreams podiuming a UTMB race this early into my ultra journey and to top it off qualifying for UTMB finals next year? Still in complete disbelief. I love this distance so much and I’m so excited to keep improving in this sport and to get back on a start line ASAP.
Full fun of it as well with some vomiting, two faceplants, rolled ankles, a wasp sting and one completely busted knee with 26k to go (a painful end to proceedings). What a ride.
The biggest thank you to @lucy.cheetham and @benmelling1 for crewing, my family for cheering so loudly they almost definitely woke up several French towns overnight and my friends who got VERY stuck in on a group WhatsApp and then the live UTMB feed, which culminated in @anna0lawson getting interviewed as I was being filmed finishing. Hilarious

Some running things recently! End/ start of the year was a bit rough training wise but feels like I’m getting back on track again with a load of easy base miles, some pretty technical trail adventures and some fun treadmill speed workouts back into my weeks. First ultra of the year lined up in the next few months and I’m buzzing - the road to UTMB world finals has begun ☀️
Langtang Valley & Gosaikunda
Concluded my Himalayan fast packing era with a final solo trip, my first two solo summits (4985/4700m) and some big days of climbing in a really very beautiful place. Feel incredibly lucky I got to do all of this - Nepal was a dream come true
