CERULEAN SAPPHIRE is back!
It’s been over a year since we published our first songs. Reflecting upon it afterwards, we are extremely grateful for having this channel to put out our musicality and that there are many people, who actually listen and feel our songs.
Also, that we are allowed to have music production, rhythms, singing, composing, playing, having all the threads in our own hands to express nuances that we can’t put out anywhere else.
Now, while hearing our previous published songs, we feel that we have more to give with our music. More pulse, more groove, more reaching outwards, more pop and more attitude.
In this song called “NOT SHY”, we wanted to put as much live playing of the digital instruments as we can, behind Ellen’s vocals.
While playing and composing music has been a natural part of life for us, releasing selfmade songs might come with a certain level of doubt regarding “authenticity” for some listeners, especially when it comes to electronic sound. However, the grooves and melodies all emerge from our bodies, always, using audio software as a way to channel it into this electropop song.

I come from the west coast of Denmark, where the sea is dangerously wild at times, then calm and gentle, depending on the time of day.
I like to think our EP works in a similar way. It offers emotional explosions and heartbroken atmospheres, then shifts into moments of hope and chill serenity—like the sudden bloom of cherry trees in spring, their splendid beauty washing away even the deepest blues💙🩵
Our melodies are warm, designed to melt hearts and share the emotionality of living with you all, like breezy kisses from the salty wind.

“For me, this is an escapistic, yet heartfelt project of exploring shades of melancholy, also the brighter ones. Having grown up in south Spain as a Finn, surrounded by a suite of cultures, often makes me search for what the spaces in between hold - the spaces between holidays and realities.
Many of the melodies on the upcoming EP are rooted in those moments, in the space inbetween. In rooms where the mediterranean sun hits, a casio from the 90’s is played and it all seems dreamlike; but there is an inescapable shade of melancholy, an insisting melancholy that needs to be captured.”
