hello, pocket computer-land. 🤖 extremely excited to share that i’ve been included on a lineup of v talented artists that have the honour of playing a never-before-used space in winnipeg for this year’s @memetic_meme on june 5th. if you know me, you know i love a dank warehouse groove, so i’m extra stoked to have the opportunity to unleash in an actual fucking warehouse. 🫠 thank you to the MEME crew for having me back and for putting together what will certainly be a sweaty dance party of future legends. 👾✨ 🔗 to june 5th tix in bio. check out @memetic_meme for more details and full festival passes.

For Podcast 47 we welcome an artist we have admired for some time within Canada who delivered a wonderful mix which captures the spirit of PPRZ so incredibly well, elle fast! Hit our soundcloud / linktree to listen elle fast is a DJ and promoter based in Winnipeg, Treaty 1 territory. @elle.fast Unconcerned with genres and dedicated to storytelling via unusual grooves, her sets weave through assorted shades and eras of house, techno, experimental, and breakbeat, often held together by a thick bassline and/or generous helping of machine funk. Current projects and affiliations include music for bathtubs, a mix series inviting guests to explore the dustier, downtempo corners of their collections; and 1/3 of Proper, a Winnipeg-based event series showcasing local and regional artists Mix Description: I find mixes function like diary entries that preserve specific emotions in time. Without getting too deep, I feel like this one ended up reflecting some of the waves of existential bombardment we’re collectively experiencing right now. I’m very drawn to rhythmically-interesting tracks that sit somewhere in the intersection between techno/bass/experimental. Techno has always been a future-facing genre for me, so I chose music from artists and labels I’ve been into lately that honour this aspect. the leaves are disappearing and i’m in full summer nostalgia reflection-mode. i intentionally took a quieter one this year, but one of my favourite things i played was MEME in june. here’s a re-up of the set i played at the winnipeg art gallery on friday night, graciously hosted by the fine folks at @memetic_meme . it’s a dance floor ready mix that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but has a lot of my favourite sounds in it. hope u enjoy (🔗 in bio) . 👾🖤✨

a little late, but here are some photographic burning man nuggets. this year was an exercise in resilience and community but incredibly worth it. defo still in the process of recongealing, but there truly is no place to like the playa to reset/refocus one’s operating system. v appreciative of all the shared adventures/skeletons/cones/bananas/bag piles/wisdom/laughs/tears/turtles/bacon/not-sepsis in the dust this year . 🖤✨🌀
