BTS Part 1 Of the NYT logo animation.
The “strata brain” portion of this block required much careful attention, as the shot needed to match the live action video that this animation transitions into.
While the stratacut was plasticine modeling clay, this post catalogues my 1st time working with polymer clay.
Here I had the fun task of supplying the creative team with 10 identical “life size”brains that were featured in the opening portion of the video.
I initially made them out of air dry clay… and to my delight nearly all 10 of them crumbed and broke after a weeks drying time 🙃
So I technically made 20 brains but who’s counting?
